I was born in 1960 in Mannheim / Germany. After finishing school I studied Physics in Heidelberg and at that time I also discovered my passion for flying. I became a pilot in 1985 and flew for several air taxi companies and regional carriers.

In 1999 I joined Cargolux, a freight airline based in Luxemburg, flying the B747-400 and B747-8 on a worldwide network to all continents. Since February 2025 I’m retired enjoying my free time with my family, traveling, dancing and doing trips with our boat.

I first came into contact with the tango in 2000 on a trip to Buenos Aires. I liked the way how the people were dancing in the street, their expression and the music. In 2001 my wife and myself joined a dancing school for tango in Pfungstadt, near Frankfurt/Germany where we learned this amazing dance. After that I started to visit tango places all over the world in meanwhile 42 cities.
